Difference between Viennese Point and Hungarian Point

The difference between the Viennese Point and Hungarian Point is not very significant. Simply put, you could say that the Viennese Point floor is laid at a sharper angle than the Hungarian Point. With Hungarian Point PVC, you see straight V-shaped strips, which is not the case with the Viennese Point; the diamond-shaped sections all fit together. This can make it look a bit busier. However, it is a very original, special floor that few people have and makes an impression in a living room, meeting room, or kitchen. To quickly understand the difference, it's best to look at photos of both, and you'll see it immediately.

Having Viennese Point glue-down PVC installed

For the Viennese Point, we always recommend choosing glue-down PVC (also known as stick-down or dryback). Such glue-down PVC floors last the longest and cause no problems despite the somewhat vulnerable point shape (60 degrees). Ensure you use an experienced floor layer or consult Solza for having your floor installed. Installing a Viennese Point floor is slightly more expensive than a straight strip PVC indoor floor. This is because it is a bit more labor-intensive.

Is the Viennese Point a bit too busy for you? Then also check out our popular alternatives. With herringbone floors, the angles are straight (90 degrees). Also, check out the popular click PVC herringbone PVC, which you can install yourself if desired, whalebone glue-down PVC (large format herringbone), and Hungarian Point glue-down PVC floors. Choose from various oak gray and brown shades, or go for a white or black floor.
